Welcome to my website. I am a self taught artist living and working in Gatehouse of Fleet in Galloway in south west Scotland.

I moved here from Nottingham in 2001 and set about developing my artistic response to the surrounding environment - a happy mix of coastline, farmland, small towns and impressive hills, all in a small geographical area.

My paintings usually begin with photographs and pastel sketches which I work up to finished paintings in my studio. I paint using oils, sometimes on sheets of glass, but recently I have returned to board and canvas which has enabled me to paint larger pictures and paint in situ more often.
